The biggest transfer saga of the summer may be getting another plot twist. Kylian Mbappé could reportedly be heading to the Premier League. Liverpool are said to be in the running for the French star and their officials are willing to meet the French big club’s financial demands.

The transfer summer is gathering momentum and the biggest transfer saga of recent years is once again getting another twist. Kylian Mbappé has caused a stir in the football world by announcing that he will not exercise the option to extend his contract in the French capital after next season.

The situation is, of course, most closely monitored by Real Madrid, for whom Mbappé slipped through their fingers in last year’s transfer window. There have been various speculations in the media, to which the footballer himself responded by saying that he will stay at the Parc des Princes next season.

However, PSG’s management certainly doesn’t share this idea, as it could see their biggest star leave for another club for free after the season. This, of course, has played into the hands of the Spanish big club, who are looking for a replacement for Karim Benzema, who has left for Saudi Arabia.

The PSG management has set a huge sum of 250 million euros for which Mbappé can leave as early as this summer. That would make him the most expensive player in football history. Real Madrid would of course like to reduce this astronomical amount.

But once again, negotiations will not be easy. Another player is reportedly entering the game for the French cannonballer. Radio MARCA reported that Liverpool are said to be willing to meet the French big club’s demands and even beat Florentino Pérez’s offer.

According to that source, the Reds are ready to offer a whopping €250 million for Mbappé plus another €50 in bonuses. Will the Premier League get the next biggest football star of our time after Erling Haaland?
