Mbappé spoke openly about Messi, the atmosphere at PSG, the booing of fans and the transfer to Real Madrid. What did he say?
Kylian Mbappé doesn’t have it easy. He failed to make the Euros, he was not allowed to leave for Real Madrid and on top of that, the atmosphere in the PSG dressing room is constantly being addressed. He has now commented on all of this, commenting on the arrival of Lionel Messi. What did he say?

There is a constant buzz around the French gem. I wish it wasn’t. He is one of the biggest stars of the present and probably of the long-term future. Kylian Mbappé was also already headed to Real Madrid, but the transfer didn’t happen.
Meanwhile, the PSG star expressed his desire to leave to the club well in advance so that the Parisians could make money and also have enough time to find a quality replacement. But in vain, the French club refused to sell him.
“I wanted to discover something else. I’ve been in France for six or seven years. For Paris, I did what I was trying to do. Leaving seemed like a logical step. But I have an attachment to Paris, I would only leave for Real Madrid,” Mbappé explained his desire to leave.
When his transfer was rejected, he understandably felt disappointed. But now he has not resolved the situation and all he is asking for is time to think about his future. He is happy in Paris and is in a great team. He doesn’t see his future as a priority. He enjoys the present.
He hasn’t thought about a lawsuit or any conflict with the club: “It would be ungrateful to the club that gave me so much trust at 18. I want to play, to show that I am a top player and that nothing will upset me. Not even a failed transfer.”
It should be mentioned that because of all the possible speculation, Mbappé was booed at the PSG shrine by his own fans. But he has sympathy for them and doesn’t feel offended, quite the opposite. He says it’s flattery, as they’re letting him know they don’t want him to leave. In short, an admirable attitude.
Mbappé then has long dreamed of PSG becoming a competitive team. In the summer, the club worked hard to achieve this and brought in some really big stars. Among them, Lionel Messi. His presence at the club is duly praised by the Frenchman.
He says he never thought he would play with him in the same team. “I enjoy every moment alongside him. It’s a privilege. He loves football, he talks to everyone, even if he is shy. But luckily he’s not shy on the pitch. Neymar is an extraordinary footballer, but Messi is another level,” Mbappé does not hide his enthusiasm.
There has been a lot of talk about the fact that many stars in one team may not do any good. In one match, Mbappé was caught being very harsh towards Neymar. However, the French gem claims it’s nothing serious. He says they have been through a heap of conflicts and arguments together, he considers it normal when players are ambitious.
Likewise, he takes it for granted that with the arrival of new stars, he has to sacrifice at times and come back more so that, for example, Lionel Messi doesn’t have to defend so much and has more free hands, or rather feet.
So the summer is still going to be very interesting. Indeed, the arrival of not only Messi could change many things in Mbappé’s mind.
