Mbappé speaks out about PSG’s behaviour: they told me before the season that I wouldn’t play again, but it’s inappropriate to complain to the world when terrible things are happening in it
Kylian Mbappé has already left Paris and signed for Real Madrid. Last season, he had a tough time at PSG. Before its start, it looked like he would be a year without football at the highest level. However, he was rescued. He spoke about the situation at his first press conference since his transfer to Spain.
Kylian Mbappé has already left Paris and signed for Real Madrid. Last season he had a tough time at PSG. Before the start of the season, it looked like he was going to be a year without football at the highest level. However, he was rescued. He spoke about the situation at his first press conference since his transfer to Spain.
He’s having a fantastic time at the moment. Kylian Mbappé was able to move out of Paris as a free agent and became the new star of Real Madrid. He is also preparing for the upcoming European Championship with the French national team.
When the new season starts, he will be in a completely different position than a year ago, when PSG dropped him from the squad. “Before the season started, the club management told me clearly to my face that I would not play. I was saved by coach Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos. Without them, I wouldn’t have seen the pitch again, so I was grateful to them,” said the French footballer, who could have headed to Barcelona a few years ago, according to Football-España.
However, the 25-year-old cannonballer is critical of himself. He is aware that he has not had the best season. He wants to be much better. But he blames the difficult situation at PSG: “At the end of the season I played much less. Everyone knows why. When you are an elite player, you have to adapt. But that’s no excuse for me at the Euros. I want to help France win the trophy.”
He sees last season as the hardest he has ever experienced. That’s why he is proud of himself. He has shown himself that he can play in such a difficult position. So, at the moment, Mbappé feels relaxed, enjoying being at the club of his heart. He has fulfilled his dream and is looking forward to a new challenge.
Mbappé refuses to complain
There are often opinions that Kylian Mbappé is a spoilt brat. On social media, one can also find opinions that he will upset the Real Madrid cabinet. However, the greatness of the Spanish club is more than realised by the French gem.
Moreover, after his experience at PSG, he certainly won’t allow himself to make any trouble. And although he has had his fair share in Paris, he refuses to complain. He says he was certainly not unhappy, nor does he deny that he was held against his will at the club.
Of course, he admits that he didn’t like some things: ‘But it would be wrong to leave and start gossiping, saying I was unhappy. I was under a lot of pressure, but there are more serious things in life. It’s still just football. There are people who earn much less money for working in factories. It’s inappropriate for me, Kylian Mbappé, to complain to the world when terrible things are happening.”
