Mbappé on transfer: I’ve already decided. A few details remain, but it’s done

Kylian Mbappé has finally spoken a little more concretely about his future. A transfer to Real Madrid is imminent, which he confirmed at the UNFP Gala Dinner, where he received the award for the best player in Ligue 1.

Mbappé’s transfer to Real Madrid has been dragging on since last summer. President Florentino Pérez offered PSG over €200 million, but the French outfit refused. Now the best player in Ligue 1 will leave for free at the end of his contract.

The media have been reporting that he will not continue in Paris all year. PSG kept trying to get Mbappé to sign, even deploying the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, to convince the 23-year-old to stay in Paris. Unsuccessfully.

Mbappé, however, behaved like a complete professional and did not want to comment before the end of the season, he always left 100% on the pitch.

But now, before the last round, when PSG has already secured the title, Mbappé did reveal something, even though he didn’t want to comment on his transfer at first. The answer to the question of whether he will surpass Edinson Cavani as PSG’s top scorer could have indicated something.

“Surpass Cavani as PSG’s top scorer? I’m happy with being among the top 3 scorers,” Mbappé said at the French football gala.

“No, I can’t talk about my future now. This is not the right moment,” the Frenchman was at first reluctant to talk about a transfer. Later, however, he did reveal something.

“I’ve already decided. There are a few details left, but it’s done. It’s a matter of days. I will announce my decision before the French national team meeting,” Mbappé said.

The French national team will meet on May 28, the day of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Spanish media report that we could see an official announcement as early as this week.
