Kylian Mbappé will join Real Madrid next season. A deal has reportedly been reached between the player and the club. So does this mean the end of this huge, perhaps even endless transfer saga?

Over the last two years, Kylian Mbappé has been involved in a giant transfer saga, with all indications pointing to a stunning transfer on several occasions.

However, not once has it happened and Real Madrid have given the French star a clear ultimatum. And one that Mbappé must make his decision by January 15. That has already happened and Mbappé has finally said yes to his childhood dream club.

According to Foot Mercato, Mbappé agreed a deal with Real Madrid a few days ago, with which he should therefore link his future.

Mbappé to Real for good?

Mbappé has been able to officially negotiate with other clubs since January 1, as he only has the last six months of his contract with PSG left. Real Madrid therefore started negotiations with the 25-year-old soon after.

In doing so, he made clear statements. According to the information available, the financial package offered by the Spanish giant to the famous player is lower than the one presented for the 25-year-old superstar during the 2022 negotiations.

An offer from the English Premier League was still in play, with Liverpool interested in Mbappé’s services. However, the PSG striker decided to activate the clause stipulated in his contract and decided that Real Madrid was a more appealing option for him than all the others.

The Spanish giant has 14 Champions League wins and a record 35 La Liga titles to his name. This is, of course, one of the main factors why Mbappé has reportedly already agreed to the transfer.

In an interview after the last league game during PSG’s win over Toulouse, Mbappé was adamant. He responded to questions about his future by saying that he had not yet made up his mind. That his interest is mainly in his current engagement.

However, Foot Mercato claim that he has in fact agreed a transfer to Real Madrid. Unless there is some unexpected twist (although it is more than possible in this saga), Mbappé will don the jersey of the White Ballet in the summer.
