Mbappé is no longer the most valuable footballer in the world, he has been replaced at the top by Haaland. Schick is on Messi’s level
Erling Haaland has confirmed his quality and scored 22 goals in 16 games for Manchester City so far. Kylian Mbappé isn’t far behind either, having already notched 18 in 18 games. However, the Premier League is still seen as a tougher competition than Ligue 1, which makes the Norwegian cannonballer more valuable.

Transfermarkt updated the values of some players on Thursday, including a pair from Manchester City. Haaland (170 million euros) has improved by 20 million euros right away, surpassing the world’s most valuable footballer so far, Mbappé, whose price tag remained at 160 million euros.
His teammate Phil Foden also improved by 20 million euros, who is catching up with the third most valuable player in the world, Vinícius Junior, who plays for Real Madrid, with a value of 110 million euros. Both, like Haaland, are 22 years old. A very strong year!
It is this foursome that is then expected to challenge for the Ballon d’Or, which has been dominated in recent years by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. However, their era is almost over, as confirmed by Karim Benzema, who recently won the trophy.
In addition to Haaland and Foden, the top 20 also includes Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, the oldest footballer in this ranking. His value was then reduced by Transfermarkt from €85 million to €80 million.
The most valuable Czech remains Patrik Schick, who remained at 50 million euros. Interestingly, however, his value is the same as, for example, Ousmane Dembélé, Virgil van Dijk, Richarlison or Lionel Messi.
Tomas Soucek is also still high, only retaining a value of 45 million euros. Then Antonin Barak is third with 16 million, Adam Hložek is fourth with 15 million and Vladimir Coufal’s value has dropped from 12 million to 9 million.
Up to the 25th most valuable footballer of Portugal is then Cristiano Ronaldo. Transfermarkt left his value at 20 million euros. He was around this threshold at the end of 2004, when he started to excel at Manchester United.
