Mbappé? I don’t envy Real, he’ll ruin their cabinet, says Barcelona president Laporta
Kylian Mbappé and the move to Real Madrid, that’s a longer story than a Mexican soap opera. This summer, however, it should have actually happened by now, but in Barcelona it leaves the club cold. Especially the president, Joan Laporta.

If you were looking for better footballers in the world right now than Kylian Mbappé, you probably wouldn’t find many. At the same time, however, it is borne through the football environment that he is not always a completely easy acquisition. On the other hand, even Ronaldo and Messi had their excesses, but the team gave it back on the pitch.
Mbappé has had a dream of playing for Real Madrid since he was a kid. For various reasons, it hasn’t materialised yet, but that should change from the summer. The 25-year-old striker is out of contract at PSG and has made it publicly clear that he will not sign a new one.
In the football world, it is considered almost a done deal that the 2018 world champion will move from Paris to Madrid. This will give Real Madrid an even stronger offensive line, where Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior or Rodrygo have shone this season. Should Barcelona be scared? Maybe so, but they don’t show it outwardly.
It will be problem for Real Madrid with Mbappé, said Laporta
“I don’t envy Mbappé at all. I’ve read in the papers the figures they’ll have to spend for him, it’s sure to upset the cabin. It won’t be cheap, so it will be a problem,” Barcelona president Joan Laporta told Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo.
“Plus they’ll have to sell someone, right? Because two players cannot play in the same position,” Laporta targets Mbappé’s favoured left wing position, which belongs to Vinicius.
But Ancelotti changed the formation in the summer because of Bellingham and Real Madrid have been playing a 4-4-2 formation since the summer. It is the formation with two free strikers that could suit the Brazilian-French tandem perfectly.
Moreover, Los Blancos have been mostly saving for the last few summers and have prepared well for Mbappé’s arrival. At the same time, Real Madrid are in great financial shape and have been rated as one of the best managed clubs.
