Martinique representative carrying 100 kilos of cocaine in suitcases with his partner, caught at airport in France

He’s not gonna put that behind him. Twenty-nine-year-old footballer Jean-Manuel Nédra was caught at an airport in France carrying 100 kilograms of cocaine with his partner. He is now awaiting sentencing.

Jean-Manuel Nédra is a professional footballer, although few people in Europe know his name. He has spent his entire career in Martinique.

He played for L’Aiglon du Lamentin for several seasons, but now his career seems to be over. The reason is drug smuggling.

The 29-year-old footballer, who is also part of the Martinique national team, was carrying 100 kilograms of cocaine with his partner.

Yes, they really did try to smuggle that amount in two people’s suitcases. This very risky move at the French airport failed and Nedra was immediately taken into custody.

He will now await sentencing, his girlfriend has been released, but she is under judicial supervision and should not escape punishment either.

The club has commented on the situation on their social media and condemned their player’s behaviour. According to him, he has not set a good example to the youth and the entire sport.
