Martin Hašek found a new job! After his stint with Turkish Erzurumspor, with whom he did not join the winter training due to psychological problems, he has been engaged by Polish first league club Wisla Plock.
When Martin Hašek left Sparta Prague in 2020, he certainly didn’t expect what kind of cause he would create and where his football career would go afterwards.
The FAČR Board of Referees decided that he had to pay Sparta a fine of 20 million crowns, which would have completely destroyed him. That’s why he appealed to the CAS sports arbitration and can be quite satisfied.
Although the latter found in Sparta’s favour, the club has to pay only CZK 2.25 million plus 10% of the amount per year as interest for late payment.
In the meantime, he was playing for the Turkish club Erzurumspor, which was relegated to the first league and was banned from bringing in new players, which meant a big problem.
The Turkish team is currently in the second half of the table and will fight to stay in the league. But Hašek doesn’t care about that anymore, as he has decided to end his anabasis.
He didn’t show up for the winter training and reported mental problems. So it seemed that he would not play a single game until the summer and then move elsewhere, but the opposite is true.
Hašek has found a new club, he will now play for the Polish club Wisla Plock! The team plays in the top Polish league and is currently in tenth place.
He has signed a contract with the club until the summer with a clause about the possibility of extending the cooperation in case of satisfaction.
