A dream come true! Thirty-year-old Martin Buday is about to make his UFC debut, and he will challenge the famous American Chris Barnett. Both of them have weighed in, so there’s nothing stopping us from seeing them fight after Saturday midnight.
Thirty-year-old Slovak Martin Buday won the title last year under the Czech-Slovak Oktagon organization, but his fight with Poland’s Minda was the last one in this organization.
He then headed to Dana White’s Contender Series tournament, where he finished American Loronz Hood and was offered a contract under the most prestigious MMA organization in the world.
He had to wait for his first fight, but now it’s here, Buday takes on the experienced 35-year-old Chris Barnett.
The latter made a name for himself in his last fight in particular, finishing his opponent with a hilarious dropkick, giving him a 1:1 record in the UFC.
We can look forward to their fight probably shortly after midnight on Saturday, with the Slovakian being the favourite, with Czech bookmakers putting the odds at around 1.4.
But the main highlight of the evening will be the rematch between Vincent Luque and Belal Muhammad in the velter. The tournament starts at 23:30 our time.
