Marko Arnautovic ends his commitment in China after two years and returns to Europe. The thirty-two-year-old Austrian forward has signed for Italian side Bologna FC 1909, whose jersey was worn by Ladislav Krejci in the recent past.

During his time in China, Arnautović played 39 games for Shanghai Port, scoring 20 goals and adding 4 assists.

Now, the experienced Austrian returns to Europe, where he has signed until 30 June 2023 with the Italian side. Bologna paid a total of €3 million for the Vienna native.

Interestingly, this will not be Arnautovic’s first time in the Italian league, as he already has a little experience from his time at Inter Milan.

The then 20-year-old Austrian striker was with the Milan side from Twente FC on a one-year loan deal in the 2009/10 season. However, he played only 3 games in total during his entire loan spell with Inter.

Hopefully, Arnautovic’s stats in the Italian competition will now increase significantly. What do you think about the return of this experienced player back to Europe?
