In the very first round she made a big sensation when she knocked out the 8th player of the ATP ranking and finalist of the Australian Open, Danielle Collins. In the second round, she easily took on Ann Li, whom she defeated 6-0, 6-3.
In the third round, she faced a player representing the American nationality for the third time, taking Alison Riske smoothly 6-2, 6-3.
In the eighth round, she ran into France’s Caroline Garcia, whom she defeated after a stunning 7-5, 6-2 performance.
But in the quarterfinals, she will face her toughest challenge yet. World No. 2 Ons Jabeur has been going through Wimbledon smoothly so far and hasn’t lost a set yet. The Tunisian tennis player is the favourite.
