No PSG or AC Milan, Marcus Thuram chose AC’s city rival, Inter Milan. It was almost clear about this transfer a few days ago, but now everything is definitely confirmed. How long has the French striker signed for and how much will he earn per year?

It already looked like he was on the verge of joining AC Milan. But in the end everything is completely different. Thuram chose neither PSG nor the Milanese big club, but headed to the other big club based in San Siro.

As already reported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, all the documents are now signed, Thuram has also successfully passed a medical.

The French striker has signed a long-term contract at Inter, specifically for five years. He will earn around 6 million euros per year.

In any case, according to Football Italia, Inter have reportedly been working on the transfer of Thuram since the end of the World Cup in Qatar.

An official announcement should come soon, but at the moment the transfer of the Parma native is a done deal.

And since Thuram comes to Inter as a free agent, he is like a godsend. After all, he was an absolutely key player at Borussia Mönchengladbach, and he will undoubtedly want to show his qualities in Milan as well.

For Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, the arrival of the new playmaker is also extremely valuable. The club has recently parted ways with Edin Džeko, and European clubs are flying around Lautaro Martínez.

And whether Romelu Lukaku, who belongs to Chelsea, will be able to stay at the San Siro is indeed a big question at the moment. The English club does not see the potential in extending the loan spell and would rather want to cash in on the Belgian international.

Thurram’s stats at Borussia

The France international transferred to Borussia in July 2019, when the German club snapped him up from Guingamp. At the time, the Mönchengladbach management sent just nine million euros to the French outfit.

Over the past few years, his price tag has obviously gone up. Currently, Thuram’s market value stands at €32 million, according to the Transfermarkt website.

In that time in a Borussia Mönchengladbach jersey, he has appeared in 134 competitive matches, scoring 44 goals and assisting 29 more.
