The Czech national football team has one last game of the summer training camp. In the Nations League they will play Spain, with whom they drew 2:2 in Prague. What did coach Jaroslav Šilhavý say before the match?
Jaroslav Šilhavý and his team have their fourth match in the Nations League ahead of them. This time they will challenge Spain again, whom they almost beat at home, but in the end they had to settle for a point.
“They will play at home, we stole points from them at home for a draw and we expect a strong opponent and a great opponent again,” said Šilhavý at the press conference.
There will be changes this time too. Neither Tomáš Vaclík nor Jindřich Staněk will start the match, and Aleš Mandous will be the goalkeeper. And that will certainly not be the only change compared to Portugal.
“We communicate a lot with the players. If the players say they don’t feel ready for the match, we would react immediately. The debate is still ongoing and we will see after the pre-match training.
It is true that the Portuguese attacked a lot through our left side, we made some cheap mistakes there and there will be no change there,” he added.
The match against Spain is played today, Sunday 12 June at 20:45. You will be able to watch it traditionally on CT Sport screens.
After the match, the players will disperse for the holidays they will get at their clubs. Many will miss the start of the preparation, but after such a busy season, rest is important.
