Manchester United will go after the talented Benfica striker in January. Is Ramos the man?
Manchester United brought in around 260 million euros worth of reinforcements in the summer when a number of great footballers arrived. However, Erik ten Hag has made no secret of the fact that he will continue to strengthen, with a striker in particular on his radar. And that chosen one could be Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos.

However, Erik ten Hag has made no secret of the fact that he will continue to strengthen, with a striker in particular on his radar. And that chosen one could be Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos.
At Old Trafford, the perpetually injured Anthony Martial, the over-aged Cristiano Ronaldo and Mason Greenwood, who is currently having other problems, are all earmarked for the role of the spearhead striker. Recently, Marcus Rashford, who is otherwise a left back, has been used in this position.
According to The Sun, Manchester United will try to bring in a new player for this position in the winter. The main candidate should be 21-year-old Ramos, who has already scored 8 goals and assisted 5 more in 12 games this season.
The Portuguese striker, who has no problem playing with his weaker left foot, has good stats, but on the other hand he has also picked up 2 yellow cards and one red card and alternates great performances with bad ones.
However, he is a player with a lot of potential, who is very strong on the ball and lightning counter-attacks don’t give him the slightest problem, which would make him fit in well in the current Manchester United team.
But of course, Ramos, who stands at 185 centimetres, is just one of several that the Hag has scouted with his team. The next few months will certainly matter too, which unfortunately for him will include the World Cup, which will be played in Qatar.
He hasn’t got a ticket to the Portuguese national team yet, but he has scored 14 goals in 18 games for the U21s and it is safe to assume that he will get one sooner or later.
He is making progress day by day! Last season he scored 8 goals in 46 games, now he has done it in only 12. Of course, the departure of Dawvin Núñez, who scored 34 goals in 41 games last season, has helped him a lot.
