Jadon Sancho is expected to make a definite move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window as the two clubs are close to a deal that should be concluded before the start of the European Championship, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester United had already tried to acquire Jadon Sancho last year, however, all negotiations ultimately collapsed on a transfer fee that was indeed astronomical at the time.

Now, however, the situation is different. Because last year, the Borussia Dortmund management did not want to go below £108 million. But at the moment, the truth is that the German big club is willing to reduce that amount by £26.5 million.

After twelve months of the Red Devils waiting for this reduction, the transfer will be brought to a successful conclusion.

Moreover, it will be the most expensive transfer of an English player in the history of the English team. Two years ago, Manchester sent £80 million to Leicester for Harry Maguire. The transfer of Sancho will increase this record by 1.5 million, i.e. to 81.5 million pounds.

The player himself has already agreed to the terms, everything is currently agreed in this regard. The catch at the moment is reportedly only one thing. The German giant wants a large part of the transfer fee upfront, while United would like to split it into multiple instalments.

However, Dortmund are willing to sacrifice the 21-year-old English super talent in order to keep Erling Haaland.

For Borussia, Sancho has scored 50 goals and added a whopping 64 assists in 137 games played. The fact that he’s not a very punishing player also plays into his hands – he hasn’t been sent off once in that many games, picking up only six yellow cards.

The young superstar has also made 18 starts for the English national team. And here, among other things, he also managed to score three goals. Of course, Sancho is also on England’s roster for the upcoming European Championships.
