Manchester United vs. Liverpool: Preview and betting tips
The historically high-profile North-West derby will take place this Sunday at Old Trafford. And while Jürgen Klopp is enjoying the great form of his charges, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under a lot of pressure. However, in the past, it is this kind of situation that has spurred him on to a run of great results.

A number of big games await us this weekend, with the Premier League set to see one of the biggest duels of the season. Liverpool, who have not lost in 18 league games, will be at Old Trafford.
That being said, Liverpool are enjoying another great run of league unbeatenness, but there is still a long way to go to break Arsenal’s record 49 match streak. Even so, Jürgen Klopp’s charges are the only team yet to taste the bitterness of defeat in the current season.
The fact that the last 5 mutual duels have not ended with a single defeat (2 wins for Liverpool and 3 draws) also plays into the hands of the Reds players.
Moreover, Manchester United have won only two out of the last 6 matches and the three points have always been taken at the end of the game by Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 3 league goals so far. Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes (both 4 goals) also have better stats. However, a question mark hangs over the start of the Portuguese offensive midfielder.
Roberto Firmino has the same number of league goals, Sadio Mané has 5 and Mohamed Salah has 7, who is the top scorer of the current Premier League season with Jamie Vardy.
It is the Reds’ attacking trio that must make Klopp very happy. In the past, their collaboration has brought big trophies at Anfield, if they continue their performances, Liverpool will be big favourites to win every competition again.
So everything is playing in favour of the away side, who should walk away with three points on Sunday. However, it is not wise to underestimate Manchester United at the moment, as I have already mentioned in the previous lines. Solskjaer is not a great strategist, but if there is one thing he can do, it is to encourage a team that is on the verge of collapse.
Personally, I would opt for a bet on goals to fall for the same reason I advised punters to bet Over 3.5 on Manchester United vs Atalanta a few days ago. Here, in my opinion, it’s not as likely that goals will fall, but it’s still probably the best option!
