Sunday’s English Premier League schedule will feature, among others, Manchester United vs Leicester. Thehome side are back in the title fight after a month, while the visitors finally broke away from the relegation zone.

Manchester United have been an unstoppable machine since the World Cup in Qatar. It has lost just one of its 16 games since December, drew at Barcelona in the week and is already only five points behind leaders Manchester City in third place.

Leicester could be described as a team of sinusoids. It is currently having a good season, having beaten upstart Aston Villa and Tottenham, seeding both with a four. They are now 13th in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone.

Manchester United’s key figures

England international striker Marcus Rashford is having the season of his life, having already netted 22 goals and assisted eight times. Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes has opened the net seven times and assisted eight goals.

Leicester’s key figures

African striker Kelechi Iheanacho, author of five goals and four assists, is coming into good form. Offensive midfielder James Maddison netted nine goals, adding five assists.

What to expect from the match and what to bet on?

Manchester’s previously dysfunctional attack has been on fire since Christmas, with 38 shots already the fifth best in the competition. Thanks mainly to the incredible Rashford, he has scored two or more goals in 12 of the last 13 games.

And Leicester have a real test ahead of them, because so far they haven’t completely tuned up their defence. With 38 goals conceded, only last-placed Southampton and second-to-last-placed Bournemouth have a worse defensive record.

Considering the brutal form of Rashford, the good atmosphere in the Red Devils’ cabin and the tragic defensive performance of Leicester, I think Manchester will not let the home game take away the title.
