The highlight of the 14th round of the Premier League will be the match between Manchester United and Arsenal. The Canaries go into the match as table favourites, but the visitors have Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad. What to expect from both teams?
Manchester United have come through November with a bang. They have won only one of their last five games and are only eighth in the league table. The Red Devils are already five points behind fourth place, so they really need to win on Thursday.
Arsenal’s biggest crisis came at the start of the season and now they are picking up win after win. The young team has climbed from the relegation zone to fifth place, just a point behind fourth-placed West Ham.
Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying a goal scoring return to Manchester United, through all competitions he has already scored ten goals. Twenty-year-old talent Mason Greenwood has also scored four league goals.
Arsenal are leaning on the good form of summer reinforcements. Aaron Ramsdale is one of the best goalkeepers in the competition so far, Takehiro Tomiyasu is also doing well on the right side of defence.
Manchester are struggling defensively, conceding nine goals in their last five games.
Arsenal’s attack is much worse, but defensively it’s working, they’ve kept a clean sheet in four of their last five games.
Given the good form of the whole Gunners defence, I think Arsenal will not lose.
