Manchester City vs. Dortmund: Preview and betting tips

Manchester City, led by the killer Erling Haaland, destroyed Sevilla with four goals and are now preparing to take on their other main rival for the top spot in Group G, Borussia Dortmund, who beat Copenhagen in their opener. Will the Norwegian striker make a name for himself against his former team?

Manchester City have already recorded two points dropped this season, only drawing with Newcastle and Aston Villa, but they have dominated in all competitions and it will probably look no different on Wednesday when they welcome Borussia to the Etihad Stadium.

The two teams met in the Champions League last season in the quarter-finals, with Manchester City winning twice 2-1. In both duels, Foden was particularly successful, scoring one goal in each game.

The aforementioned pair of Haaland and Akanji were also present in these duels, but the Norwegian international did not make an impact in either match, only assisting Reus on a goal.

The clear favourite to win is Manchester City, who are playing very well and for whom Haaland is scoring goals almost unerringly. It is the bet on him to make it against his former employer that is very likely.

However, the odds on the home team winning are at 1.18, which despite the high probability of success does not represent much value. Thus, a bet on goals seems more likely, but you will need to choose at least Over 3.5, which is offered at odds of 1.88.

That being said, a very interesting figure for betting is Haaland, who, apart from the Bournemouth game, has asserted himself in every competitive match since the start of the season.
