Jamal Musiala has blossomed into one of the best young players at his position at Bayern Munich. Quite logically, other big clubs are interested in the German midfielder. Now, however, a really heavyweight named Manchester City has entered the fray for the 20-year-old.

With information regarding the interest of the Citizens in Musiala came the server Football Insider. The Stuttgart native signed a 5-year contract with the Munich outfit in the spring of 2021. Bayern thus has plenty of time for further negotiations.

In the meantime, Musiala continues his development, having scored a goal and assisted 3 more in 9 games played this season. In total, he has already played 134 games for Bayern’s A-team at the age of 20. That’s an impressive number!

However, Football Insider reports in their article that even so, Musiala is not happy with his playing load. English giants Liverpool and Manchester City are circling around the skilful midfielder.

It is the Citizens who should be very active in this regard, as their star Kevin de Bruyne, who is currently injured, celebrated his 32nd birthday in the summer and Pep Guardiola needs to find an adequate replacement.

Matheus Nunes admittedly arrived at the Etihad Stadium in the summer. But so far, the Portuguese midfielder hasn’t been getting that much space on the pitch.

Moreover, Musiala has far more potential than Nunes. Moreover, given such a young age, one can assume that he will want to try a different challenge sooner or later, rather than spending his entire career in Munich.

The German midfielder’s negotiations with Bayern will surely come very soon as the Bundesliga king of recent years will be looking to keep his gem at all costs. Manchester City, however, is a big attraction that could derail his plans.
