Manchester City are still looking for a striker, Ronaldo’s arrival is not impossible!

It was supposed to be a quiet football summer. European teams were making huge financial losses as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. No mega-transfers were expected. However, Messi’s departure to PSG kicked things off. Now the transfer of the star Mbappé to Real is very real. It may not even be the final one. Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Juventus in Italy. Manchester City is a serious suitor. Is Ronaldo’s comeback to the Premier League real?
The Juventus star’s current contract doesn’t expire until next summer, but the Portuguese is keen to leave Italy now. The club’s management are demanding around £21.4m for the 36-year-old striker. The biggest bidder is Manchester City, who are short of a productive cannonballer.
The Portuguese transferred to Juventus in 2018, having left Real Madrid after 9 years. He won everything he could at the Spanish club. Yet he decided to leave, needing a new challenge and motivation.
Even in Turin, Ronaldo had great individual numbers. He scored 101 goals in 134 games. But it didn’t have such an impact on the team. The star striker had the ambition to win the Champions League once more, but he never came close to doing so at Juventus.
Moreover, the Italian hegemon didn’t even win the league title last season. Ronaldo’s dissatisfaction is thus completely understandable.
The Portuguese wants to leave his current team and is looking for a new deal with his agent. Manchester City are the most interested in his services. The English club has already offered the player a two-year contract with an annual salary of 15 million euros. However, they do not agree with the transfer amount Juventus are demanding.
The Citizens’ squad has already been strengthened by offensive player Jack Grealish, who came from Aston Villa for 100 million pounds. However, the defending English champions still lack a productive finisher after Aguero’s departure.
Efforts to bring in Harry Kane came to nothing, let’s see how it will be in the case of Ronaldo. There are 5 days left in the transfer window. Time is running out.
