The Manchester Evening News came out with the information on Monday, February 6, that the Red Devils are ready to sell striker Anthony Martial.
The French striker is under contract until the end of June next year and is currently injured. United coach Ten Hag then reportedly has plans to bring in new reinforcements in attack. According to Goal, that could be Victor Osimhen.
He is having a really great season with Napoli, even in terms of individual statistics. He has scored 16 goals in 17 league games and assisted four more. The Italian club is currently at the top of the league table and is going for the championship title.
Another striker in coach Ten Hag’s sights is international Harry Kane, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur.
As far as his statistics are concerned, Kane has played in 22 games so far, scoring 17 goals and assisting in one other.
Martial has been sidelined for most of the 2022/23 season due to numerous injuries and has missed 20 of the 34 games the club has played so far. Next to leave would be stopper Maguire, who dropped out of the starting lineup after Lisandro Martinez joined the club in the summer window.
Well, the third player to leave the club according to the latest reports is Alex Telles, who is currently on loan at Sevilla until the end of the season.
Whether all three of the aforementioned players will actually leave Old Trafford is questionable, but current developments suggest that they will. Martial’s departure has been speculated before, Ten Hag is relying solely on Martinez and Varane for the composition of the stopper duo and Telles, as we write above, is not even part of the club.
