Luton drew with Everton, the match ended in a 1-1 draw

The opening match of the 36th round of the Premier League between Luton and Everton ended in a 1-1 draw. Both goals were scored in the first half. Luton took the points thanks to the draw to at least 17 by Saturday. Nottingham.

The first serious moment in the match came in the 16th minute. Dwight McNeil went down in the opponents penalty area and the tackle was scrutinised by VAR for a long time, but in the end it was not for the time being.

However, after an intervention on Everton stopper Jarrad Branthwaite, the penalty was already whistled. Dominic Calwert-Lewin took the ball and uncompromisingly sent the ball into the net.

Everton’s lead lasted less than 10 minutes. In the 31st minute, Elijah Adebayo found the ball after Sambi Lokonga’s centre and beat Jordan Pickford in the visitors’ goal.

Late in the half, Alfie Doughty sent a nasty centre into the opposition penalty area, Carlton Morris got to the header and one of Everton’s defenders had to head the ball flying towards goal to safety.

In the 53rd minute Tahith Chong was illegally stopped a few yards outside the whitewash. Doughty took the ball and his centre found one of his teammates, but his header was well over.

As time wore on, Luton took over the ball. They were trying to get chances, mainly through centres and standard situations. In the 63rd minute, Doughty sent another ball into the opposition’s penalty area and it was turned away by Amadou Onana in front of the charging opposition players.

In the 77th minute, Calwert-Lewin had the best chance of the 2nd half. The England international headed from the edge of the box, but Thomas Kaminski made a great save.

The home coach also sent goalkeeper Kaminski for the last corner kick of the match. Doughty, however, only sent his centre to Everton’s first player. Doughty’s very last centre from a direct kick was successfully turned away by Branthwaite.
