In Prague Slavia he had a huge competition in the form of Alexander Bach, but he still played a lot of minutes in the spring. The national coach Jaroslav Šilhavý has been betting on Lukáš Masopust for a long time and in the match against Albania it turned out that he was absolutely justified.

Experts were wondering about the composition of the stopper pairing before the European Championship rehearsal, and also often argued whether Masopust should be replaced by the talent Adam Hložek.

But the Slavic player literally led them astray. He scored an assist and a goal against Albania. He was also very useful defensively. He achieved 75% passing success rate (24 accurate passes).
