While Lionel Messi is not performing badly at PSG, he would definitely like to have better numbers, especially in the goals and assists columns. His long-time friend Luis Suárez has revealed what is troubling the star Argentine in Paris.
The Argentine phenom recently won his seventh Ballon d’Or. However, he still hasn’t caught on in his new job. He has to get used to new teammates, a new style of play and a new city.
However, Lionel Messi also has to acclimatise to the weather. While the winter temperatures in Barcelona are usually around 12 °C and the temperatures in Paris are not exempt from 20 °C, Paris is a bit colder.
And that’s what’s bothering the PSG star. At least that’s what Messi’s long-time friend and former Barcelona teammate Luis Suárez revealed in an interview with TNT Sports.
“We talk every day. He told me that when he plays in the cold and snow, he suffers a lot. He has to get used to how cold the weather is in Paris,” the Atlético Madrid striker expressed.
Suárez then also spoke about what it is like to play against Messi in matches. Previously, it only happened in the national team, but then he also played against him at the Camp Nou.
“It’s difficult and complicated to have Leo on the opposing side. On the other hand, they are always beautiful matches,” the Uruguayan marksman is clear.
After 12 games for PSG, Messi has 4 goals scored and 3 assists. However, his numbers could have been much better. On several occasions, he was prevented from improving his statistics by a shot on target or the sometimes unbelievable counterproductivity of his teammates.
