Lucie Pudilova is definitely one of the most famous fighters in the waters of Czechoslovakian MMA. She was the first Czech in history to taste a fight in the UFC. Although her first stint in the world’s top league didn’t go as she had hoped, she now has a chance for a rematch.
She is currently training at the Straight Blast Gym of John Kavanagh, who is the trainer of star Conor McGregor. He is enjoying working with the famous trainer and the change of scenery is clearly evident in their performances.
After her last win in the Octagon, she received an invitation back to the UFC, where she recently headlined the main card of the gala at the star-studded UFC 278.
She handled her trial by fire to perfection, winning in dominant fashion with a TKO style victory over Chinese opponent Yanan Wu.
Her victory was reflected in her world ranking, which she boasted on her social media. In fact, she is ranked an amazing 16th in the bantamweight division according to Tapology.
Considering the fact that she is the fifth best fighter in Europe in her weight class, her ranking is a great achievement indeed. Lucie Pudilova has made her presence felt and hopefully she will be able to make it to the next fight.
With the mental setup she showed in her last fight, she can still make a big dent in the world at 28 years old. We’ll see when the Czech fighter shows up in the cage next. Dana White is certainly already looking for a quality opponent for her to test her fighting skills.
