The speculations of the last few days have finally been confirmed and the whole world is shaking in its foundations. China’s biggest star is coming back.
China’s most famous League of Legends player Uzi is returning to the professional scene. His new engagement will be with the Edward Gaming (EDG) team, which will be made even stronger externally with this acquisition.
Speculation about Uzi’s return has been rampant in recent days. Not only the Chinese, but later other social networks as well, talked about the fact that Uzi was about to make a definitive return to the scene.
The speculation that Uzi’s venue for return would be one of the Chinese superteams, EDG, was finally confirmed.
The Chinese legend officially retired in 2020 due to health reasons. Although he made an episodic return for a few games for the Bilibili Gaming team, he was not expected to return, at least not as a player.
During the hiatus, Uzi got his health back together, became a father, and lived a peaceful gaming retirement as a streamer. However, that is changing and we’ll see what Uzi comes up with in the Chinese scene, which has changed a lot since his departure.
Uzi, who was voted the LPL’s all-time best player in a fan vote, may thus write the next chapter of his fantastic career. Even if his career doesn’t shine as much as, say, Faker’s.
His mechanical skills and insight into the game make him an absolute legend. For EDG, who are already very strong, this will multiply their star power even more.
That Uzi will hit today against defending champions JDG is highly unlikely. Still, Uzi is not to be taken lightly.
