The next series on today’s Friday LPL schedule was a battle between the favored TOP Esports and ThunderTalk Gaming.
The next series on today’s Friday LPL schedule was a battle between the favored TOP Esports and ThunderTalk Gaming.
TOP Esports are getting up to operating temperature in the Chinese league, and this of course adds to the attractiveness of the whole league. Another imaginary item on the menu, were the players of ThunderTalk Gaming. While they can keep up with just about anyone at the moment, unfortunately they can’t finish games on a winning note.
Still, the favorite has sweated more than enough in this series. ThunderTalk managed to outplay the giant in the first game, showing the way that it is possible to play without current meta supports like Milio or Lulu. Marksman 1xn became a central figure and helped his team get a valuable first game.
The favourite’s woes were eased in the second game, though it wasn’t a pretty performance either. Thunder’s players showed that they can really pace the game very solidly even with a large team. TOP Esports broke the resistance in the twenty-seventh minute and tied the series at 1-1.
The third game was initially in ThunderTalk’s control. With a great early game they were able to keep up with their opponent. Even though TOP Esports led on goals, they couldn’t find the key to success for a long time. However, before the twenty minute mark, the door finally opened for the favourite and the team gained confidence.
The game became considerably more even on at least a killy and at times it looked like the match would not end. However, the favourite didn’t allow a big surprise in the end and unfortunately for ThunderTalk, they were on course to win this series.
The unfortunate loss condemns ThunderTalk to the bottom of the league table. TOP Esports, on the other hand, post a 2-1 win. It certainly wasn’t easy, however, and this unconvincing performance should be a warning ahead of the match of the week against Weibo Gaming.
