Loser of the day: From 20 crowns close to 24 thousand, but bettors were betrayed by Trinec’s turnaround against Sparta
Loser of the day? An unwanted title was won by one of the bettors on Tipsport when he bet on 14 different sports matches for 20 crowns and came close to a huge win. But he was robbed of it by Ocelar Třinec.
In total, he bet at odds of 1,196.46, which means that if the ticket had worked, the winnings would have come to a handsome 23,929 crowns. But alas.
Five of the bets were on football matches, nine on hockey matches. Bets on the Slovak hockey extraliga, the Finnish and Swedish top hockey competitions were successful.
Bets on the not-so-popular and popular football competitions, whether it was Indonesia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Peru or Romania, were also successful.
Ironically, the domestic hockey league broke the bettors’ bond. A bet on Hradec Kralove to win against the White Tigers from Liberec worked out well, even though the Easterners only won by a goal. The second quarterfinal playoff game of the day did not go so well.
Sparta was the favourite and wanted to follow up the first home win. But Třinec can never be underestimated in the knockout fights and it showed on Monday. The Prague team led twice in the game, but it didn’t break the Steelers.
The Silesians tied the game twice and then successfully completed the turnaround in overtime. And it was this result that spoiled an otherwise flawless ticket.
