The most tempting duel this weekend in the Premier League will be the last one, when the leading Arsenal, who have a chance to win the trophy in the top English league after almost 20 years, will play at Anfield. Liverpool could be one of those who could have a say in the development.
The most tempting duel this weekend in the Premier League will be the last one, when the leading Arsenal, who have a chance to win the trophy in the top English league after almost 20 years, will play at Anfield. Liverpool could be one of those who could have a say in the development.
Arsenal face one of the last big hurdles in their quest for the title on Sunday. Mikel Arteta’s charges will visit Anfield, where they last won in 2012, when Podolski and Cazorla rejoiced from two Gunners goals.
Moreover, the London side have managed all 7 of their last league games, winning only against Leicester without scoring three or more goals. So the mood in the team is great, but they still definitely have nothing certain.
Manchester City have a huge experience in fighting for the league title, which they have accumulated in recent years, and we can expect a massive finish. So far, 8 points separate these two teams, with the Citizens having a game to spare and one of the Gunners’ last 9 games will be at the Etihad Stadium.
Liverpool are in a completely different frame of mind having not won 4 games in a row, in their defence it must be added that teams like Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid are not easy to win against.
All is not lost though, with the Reds on 6. Brighton are only 3 points behind, however, the team from the south of England has a match to play, so in this respect Tottenham, who currently hold 5th place, are still to be reached.
In the autumn, Arsenal was the happier team, who won thanks to 2 accurate shots by Saka 3: 2, but it was a fairly even game. Therefore, if something is to be expected, it’s goals, which have been falling in abundance in both teams’ matches lately.
As for the favourite of the match, it is Arsenal, but we can expect a balanced duel again, where a draw is definitely a realistic scenario. However, the Gunners have the better form and especially motivation, so trusting them not to lose is quite a logical step.
