LIV Golf is attracting more big names from the world’s top golf courses before entering its second season. Who is it?
No sooner has the inaugural edition of the new LIV Golf series come to an end than there is already a lot of talk about the next one. Already, the roster of the Saudi Arabian golf event is packed with big names. However, the next edition could feature more players who would also give the famous PGA Tour a shot in the arm.

Celebrated by one group of golf fans, literally hated by another. Such is the LIV Golf series, which in 2022 began to change professional elite golf. In its inaugural season, it hosted twelve tournaments and dished out $255 million.
The next season will be even more financially cheerful. A total of $405 million will be played over fourteen tournaments. At the same time, the starting field for each tournament is expected to grow from 48 to 60 players.
This, of course, brings with it the opportunity for the LIV Golf family to grow again. It is clear that aces like Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Cameron Smith, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka and Sergio Garcia will continue.
Currently, speculation is beginning to swirl about other catches. And it has to be said that these are definitely not cutouts. The biggest names are world number four Patrick Cantlay and world number six Xander Schauffele. That would add to an already very strong colony of elite players.
Besides them, Belgian Thomas Pieters (two-time D+D REAL Czech Masters winner) and Chilean Mito Pereira are also on the list of potential contenders. Adam Scott from Australia could also be the next to join the party, according to speculation. In his case, he would be offered a possible inclusion in the team alongside compatriots Smith and Leischman.
These moves also indicate the direction LIV Golf wants to take. The aim is to have players from all corners of the planet on the roster if possible.
According to LIV President Atul Khosla, several names are being discussed these days in order to have a complete line-up of all participants for the 2023 season, if possible by the end of the calendar year. BBC sources suggest that it is very realistic that at least four golfers from the world’s top 15 will appear on the LIV Golf circuit next season.
In addition, LIV Golf is also negotiating a deal with a broadcaster to offer their entertainment to a wider audience. From the beginning, LIV representatives want their product to be primarily global entertainment, not targeted primarily to the American continent as is the case with the PGA Tour.
