Czech golfer Ondrej Lieser has had to change his programme after a positive test for coronavirus prevented him from competing on the Challenge Tour in South Africa.
“By this time I was supposed to be in South Africa playing my second Challenge Tour tournament, but unfortunately I tested positive for coronavirus. I have had no symptoms and to keep myself busy I have been training at home as much as possible. I hope that now only the golf results will be positive,” announced Ondřej Lieser on social media.
The event in South Africa was to serve Lieser to warm up for the DP Tour, which is scheduled to start in Kenya in early March.
However, due to the contagion, Lieser will travel to Kenya without proper vetting.
The Magical Kenya Open on the DP Tour is scheduled for March 3-6.
Ondrej Lieser is not missing from the starting list, so hopefully the coronavirus will allow him to actually travel to Kenya.
