Lewis Hamilton comments on the whole Vinícius Junior situation in an interview ahead of the Monaco GP

Sunday’s Spanish La Liga match between Valencia and Real Madrid brought vile racist attacks on Vinícius Junior. The Brazilian subsequently received support from around the world, and one of the supporters was Lewis Hamilton.

The F1 driver and 7-time world champion commented on the whole situation on his Instagram profile on the day of the event, but it didn’t end there.

Ahead of this weekend’s upcoming Monaco VC, the Brit was also asked about the circumstances in an interview with Sky Sports. Hamilton himself unfortunately knows all too well what it’s like to be the victim of racist attacks.

The whole incident took place at the Estadio de Mestalla, Valencia’s home stadium. The sectors from where the racist abuse was hurled will be closed for the next 5 matches and the club will also be fined 45,000 euros.
