A few days ago, the media started to write a lot about the end of Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich. The star striker is said to be eager for a new challenge. However, coach Julian Nagelsmann has reassured the fans of the Bavarian giant. What did he say?
Bayern fans were upset by the news spread by almost all sports media during the week. Robert Lewandowski was supposed to want to leave Munich 100%. But apparently that’s not the case.
At least that’s what the Bavarian giant’s coach Julian Nagelsmann claims, who commented on the speculation at a press conference ahead of the second round of the Bundesliga.
“It leaves me cold. Speculation is part of the football business. If I were not the coach of Bayern but of another big club, I would mention his name everywhere and hope that his arrival will happen at some point,” the talented coach let himself be heard.
Nagelsmann then claims that the speculation is completely understandable. He described Lewandowski as the most dangerous striker on the entire football market, after all he scores goal after goal.
“He is in top form, he trains well and has a great attitude. He communicates openly with me and his teammates. He feels comfortable, which is proven by his performance in the Super Cup against Dortmund, when he scored two goals and added an assist,” the coach continued.
“A player who doesn’t feel comfortable at his club and is thinking about a transfer would look and feel completely different,” Nagelsmann concluded.
So it seems that another big transfer is not in the cards this term. However, anything can happen.
