Sniper Robert Lewandowski mourned the elimination of the Polish national team. Poland finished in last place in Group E. On the other side of the planet, Neymar shone, his Brazil are still undefeated at the Copa América.
The Poles were considered the favourites to qualify in their group with Spain, only to fail in their opening game against Slovakia. They then played out a great draw with a strong Spain and in their last match they needed to beat the Scandinavian side from Sweden.
But in St. Petersburg, the Swedes beat the Poles 3:2. Two goals of our eastern neighbours were scored by the canonical Lewandowski, but once he failed miserably. See for yourself.
For the Bayern Munich striker, at the age of 32, it may have been his last European championship, which logically moved him after the game.
Neymar shone against Colombia
Brazil were trailing at home to Colombia from the 10th minute. The turning point came towards the end of the game! Firmino equalised in the 78th minute and the Brazilians only turned the game around in the 100th minute! Yes, the referee set an incredible 10 minutes and even played over time! The extra time lasted 13 minutes in the end.
The decisive goal in the last minutes of the match was served to Casemiro by Neymar. The PSG star player scored 5 dribbles, created two great chances and had 102 touches with the ball during the match.
His assist for Casemiro’s goal was number 48! Which means breaking the historical record for the number of assists for Brazil held by the legendary Pelé. Check out the highlights of Neymar’s performance.
After three matches played, Brazil is first in Group B with maximum points and is assured of advancing to the knockout stage of the tournament.
