AC Milan have some interesting players in their squad. One of them is Rafael Leao, still only 23 years old, the Portuguese offensive gem of the Rossonerri, who led the team to the Serie A title last season.

Transfermarkt estimates Leao’s value at €85 million, but the San Siro outfit are not willing to give him up. The player is under contract until the summer of 2024 and AC Milan are therefore not in the most comfortable position.

Nevertheless, professional negotiations continue to take place. Despite interest from England, when Leao is in the sights of Liverpool or Chelsea. The Reds are reportedly willing to agree to a swap in the summer and are also offering Luis Diaz for a cut price Leo.

However, the question is whether the Portuguese himself even wants to leave for the Premier League. He has everything in Italy at the moment. He’s the star of the team, the club value him properly, the fans love him, plus the weather and beautiful Italy.

It was the weather that Leao was referring to in one of his interviews regarding England, specifically London, when he was first interviewed: ‘I don’t like the weather here. I love shopping, but the weather doesn’t suit me.”

He was alluding to the fact that it is cold and rains more often in England overall. However, of course, he meant this somewhat in exaggeration and such a thing might not play a major role in deciding his future.

After all, Leao will get a taste of London again on March 8, when his AC Milan travel to Tottenham Hotspur in a Champions League playoff rematch.
