Leicester are set to announce the arrival of the Austrian league’s best player in the coming hours

Austrian Bundesliga top scorer Patson Daka will continue in the Premier League next season. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the only thing left to do is to sign a contract, so the player’s official transfer should be announced in the coming hours.
Daka scored 34 goals in 42 games last season and assisted 12 more. Thanks to his performances in the Austrian team RB Salzburg he celebrated his fourth league title in a row.
In addition, he became both the league’s top scorer and the best player of the season. It is therefore not surprising that next season he will already be playing for another leading club, which should be Leicester.
However, Brendan Rodgers first wanted the services of Odsonne Édouard, who scores goals at Celtic, where he had the opportunity to get to know him before he left for Leicester. However, negotiations with the Scottish outfit dragged on for far too long and the Foxes looked elsewhere.
The 22-year-old native of Chingola (Zambia) has much better numbers than Édouard, but here we must take into account the offensive style of the Austrian team and the fact that RB Salzburg has virtually no competition in the domestic league.
Erling Haaland, who scored 29 goals in 27 games for Salzburg, recently left the Austrian club with a reputation as a great cannonballer. Daka managed to score 27 goals in 28 games this league season.
So these numbers are certainly awe-inspiring and if Daka catches on in a better league as well as Haaland, then no doubt Leicester will be a little better again next season.
The Foxes have relied on Jamie Vardy so far, but he has only scored 4 goals in his last 27 games. Kelechi Iheanacho, on the other hand, boasts 19 goals last season.
