French sharpshooter Odsonne Edouard is now in his fourth year with Celtic Glasgow. It’s no wonder he’s in high demand. Even current Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers knows him from his time in Scotland and would love to add him to his team.

The Paris Saint-Germain and France international has failed to make it big in the PSG youth teams and so has tried his luck on loan. First at Toulouse and later at Celtic in Scotland, where he eventually moved for just under €10.5 million in the summer of 2018.

In his first season, Edouard netted 22 goals. Since then, his stats have improved year after year. Overall, he has a record of 168 games in a Celtic jersey, 83 goals and 37 assists. No wonder he doesn’t leave the coaches of the leading European clubs cold.

Over the years there has been speculation about Liverpool, for example, but in recent weeks and months the young Frenchman has only been linked with two clubs, namely Leicester and Arsenal. For both teams, he would be an interesting acquisition at an affordable price.

Edouard is out of contract next summer and with a price tag of €15 million, Celtic would not exactly make money on him, which is why they are asking for a minimum of €20 million from any potential suitors. Leicester, on the other hand, are pressing the Glasgow management with a 15 million offer, while the player himself has already agreed to a move to the Foxes.

Arsenal are thus likely to lose their next potential transfer target and will have to find another object of interest. Leicester, on the other hand, are looking at a very fruitful summer transfer window if they manage to complete the transfer of Soumaré from Lille and the aforementioned Edouard.
