Legia vs. Slavia: Preview and betting tips
Legia Warsaw will welcome Slavia at home on Thursday in the Europa League group stage clash. The mathematics of qualification is simple, whoever wins goes through. Who will it be?
Legia Warsaw will welcome Slavia at home on Thursday in the Europa League group stage clash. The mathematics of qualification is simple, whoever wins goes through. Who will it be?
Legia are not experiencing an ideal start to the season. They crashed out of the Champions League in a double-header with Dinamo Zagreb and are only tenth in the league (with two games to play). However, they took home a decent 2:2 result from Prague.
Slavia can’t be satisfied with their journey through Europe either. It was knocked out of the Champions League by Ferencváros and even against Legia it was not the Slavia that beat Leicester or Bayer Leverkusen last year.
Legia relies on goals from Mahir Emreli, the Azerbaijan international has scored four this season. Rafa Lopes is also doing well, the skilful Portuguese has scored three times, adding one assist.
Lukáš Masopust has been scoring well in the cups, scoring in his last two games on the European stage. The Polish champion also has to watch out for Ivan Schranz, who boasts a 4+2 record.
Legia are struggling shooting, scoring more than one goal in only two of their last seven games.
This plays into the hands of Slavia, who have scored more than one goal in only two of their seven games this season.
With Ondrej Kudela and Jan Boril back in the lineup, I think Slavia will win the game in regulation time.
