The fairy tale of four Czech teams in the main groups of European competitions is over. Before the rematches, Czech football was a short step away from a historic success, but Plzeň fell to the fierce Bulgarians. The coefficient was not helped by Prague Slavia, who will play in the weakest Conference League.

The only successful Czech team in the rematches of the final preliminary rounds was Jablonec. The latter managed to beat Žilina for the second time and advanced through the last round of the Conference League relatively comfortably, winning both games 8:1!

In the European Cup, Bulgaria is becoming a horror for Czech teams! In the second preliminary round of the CL, Bulgarian Lokomotiv Plovdiv eliminated our Slovácko, in the last preliminary round the scenario was unfortunately repeated, CSKA Sofia reversed the unfavourable result from Plzeň and after a 3: 0 home win they are enjoying their promotion to the group.

The champion Slavia is also experiencing a big disappointment, although they will play the European Cup group, but in the weakest Conference League. So who can the Czech teams run into and what performance baskets are they in?

Legia helped Sparta! Who can Czech teams get?

After the Champions League play-offs, Prague’s Sparta dropped down to the 4th basket thanks to the sensational promotion of Moldova’s Sheriff. But in the Europa League play-offs, Legia Warsaw ironically helped them yesterday. The elimination of the Red and Whites means that the Flyers will go back to the 3rd basket.

In the EL draw, the groups are always formed by selecting one team from each basket and then forming a group. The hardest possible option for Sparta?

Leverkusen, Leicester, Ferencváros

Acceptable draw:: Braga, Celtic, Antwerp

In the Conference League, the same scheme applies for the draw, just different rules for promotion! In fact, only the first team will advance directly from the regular group and the second teams, will play a barrage with the third from the Europa League.

Slavia is in the first basket of the competition thanks to a strong coefficient, Jablonec is in the third basket and avoids another Slovak opponent (Slovan Bratislava – same basket).
