LeBron James broke the NBA record and was nominated for the All-Star Game for the 20th time!

Lebron James has another record! He became the first player in NBA history to be nominated to the All-Star Game for the 20th time. Until now he shared this record with the equally famous Kareem Abdul – Jabbar.

LeBron James, the “man of many records”, has claimed another one. He became the first player in the long history of the NBA to be nominated for the 20th time for the exhibition All-Star game. With 19 nominations so far, he shares the title with the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The composition of the Western Conference’s starting five, which includes 39-year-old LeBron James, along with him, is as follows. Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks) and Shai Gilgeous – Alexander ( Oklahoma City).

In the Eastern Conference, the starting lineup is as follows. Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), who is also defending the MVP of last season, the award given to the best player of the exhibition game. The exhibition game will take place on Feb. 18th in Indianapolis. At least fifteen times in their careers, only six players have been selected for this duel of the biggest stars.

Shaquille O’Neal, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan. These three players have received 15 nominations. Kobe Bryant, as a Lakers legend, received 18 nominations. The other two are LeBron James and Jabbar.

The voting for this duel looks like 50 percent of the fan vote counts. Votes from the players themselves account for 25 percent of the vote and another 25 percent from the writers’ group and TV stations. Janis Adetokunbo received the most votes from the fans with 5.4 million votes.

A lot of big names didn’t make the top five. For example, Stephen Curry, Jalen Brown, Jaylen Brunson, Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell, Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis.

In the current edition, the all-star game will return to the traditional East vs West format, as on 66 occasions in the history of this game. Of the current nominees, LeBron James has been the captain most often, on a total of six occasions. Janis Adetokunbo has received this honor three times.
