The group of death in League A is led by outsiders Hungary. They beat England 4-0 high in Wolverhampton on Tuesday and, as the Italians lost 2-5 in Germany, they go top. The Germans are one point behind, the Italians two, the English five.
In the second group of League A, the favourites have already won. The Dutch beat Wales 3:2 with a goal in the third minute and the Belgians beat the Poles 1:0. The Oranjes continue to lead the group, with Belgium three points behind.
The groups in League B remain tangled. The Ukrainians drew 1-1 at home to the Irish, Armenia fell to Scotland 1-4. Ukraine continues to lead the table, while last-placed Armenia is only three points behind.
Bosnia and Herzegovina also remain at the top of their group. It finally beat Finland 3:2 and is one point ahead of Montenegro, which eliminated Romania for the second time, this time 3:0. Finland is four points behind first place, Romania five.
Turkey continues to dominate its third group. It beat Lithuania 2-0 and needs just one point to secure promotion. Luxembourg drew with Faroe Islands at home and Lithuania is the closest to relegation with four losses.
The Latvians won in Liechtenstein and can celebrate their promotion to the third performance group if they draw next time. Moldova beat Andorra 2-1 at home to secure second place, with Liechtenstein last.
