The US LCS already knows the eight teams that will play for the title and the Worlds in the playoffs.

The LCS has witnessed the catastrophic fall of a great American superteam. FlyQuest, featuring Korean stars and LCS veterans, fatally ended up deep in the loser’s bracket.

The team still had a theoretical chance of success before the last week of play in the regular season. However, they needed to ideally win all of their games while making their direct competitor, 100 Thieves, lose as many as possible. The Thieves had a two-win lead over their rival.

The first step started off great, FlyQuest won their match against TSM and Thieves on the other hand fell to Dignitas. The gap then narrowed to one win, as the big favorite managed to win against Immortals this morning our time as well.

Unfortunately for the American superteam, backed by big Korean stars like Vicla and Prince, combined with LCS veterans, Thieves took the win against NRG and took care of the final stamp on the catastrophic downfall of the American superteam.

The infamous fall of FlyQuest will go down as one of the biggest sensations in League of Legends history. The ignominious elimination will certainly not go unchallenged, and changes to the organization can be expected.

Time will tell if the team will keep the stars or if the organization will take a new direction. Thus, time will definitely tell the real reasons behind FlyQuest’s failure. In the meantime, the common adage: ” Superteams don’t win titles.
