Lazio stand up for their players, coach Sarri threatens fans at training
Since this morning, there has been one particular issue in Italy. A dispute between Lazio ultras and one of the club’s new reinforcements. But apart from that, another player of the Roman team is regularly the victim of insults, and Sarri defended him in training.
Lazio is dealing with a big problem. The Ultras are angry with their new signing, defender Elseid Hysaj. The latter presented himself with the song Bella Ciao, which in the past has been used as an anti-fascist anthem. Today, it is seen as an anthem for freedom on a global scale.
Fans immediately tried to confront the players in person, visiting the restaurant and hotel where the team was staying.
” Hysaj is a worm, Lazio is fascist!”
It should be mentioned that Lazio supporters are very proud of their fascism and expressions of various kinds of hatred or discrimination are not rare.
Not only coach Maurizio Sarri stood up for the players, but also the club. Lazio has strongly condemned not only this banner on its website. “This is not the first time something like this has happened. We will never side with those who deny the values of sport,” reads a statement on the club’s website.
Lazio is aware that these fans are doing maximum damage not only to the club, but also to fans who have different attitudes.
However, Hysaj is not the only one who is at odds with the fans. Since his arrival in the summer of 2020, Vedat Muriqi has also had them, who is also insulted by fans during matches. The reason? Politics again.
Muriqi is not afraid to talk politics, he makes his views public. Now he has been defended by coach Sarri at training.
“If you say anything against him, I will throw you out,” Sarri made it quite clear to the supporters watching Lazio’s training session.
