Laser show in Greece ended with a Slavic advance! How does the public react?

Prague Slavia has passed another important test. In the 3rd round of the ECL they managed to get past Panathinaikos Athens from Greece. They won 2:0 at home and managed to draw 1:1 away, which was scored by Václav Jurečka in the set time. How does the Czech football public view the valuable promotion?

There are still three Czech teams in the European Cups and that is why the Czech football public appreciates the result of Slavia. Of course, a victory in the Greek capital would have been even better for the national coefficient, but a final draw and qualification for the European Conference play-offs is also an excellent result.

Moreover, in the context of how the match itself went and the fact that the Slavs had to face, besides a difficult opponent, also unpleasant fans who were not shy to use lasers. The excellent goalkeeper Aleš Mandous also talked about the laser show of the home fans in the post-match interview.

“When I took a straight shot from behind the whitewash, maybe two or three of them were shining at me from the opposite stand and it’s very unpleasant. I had no experience with it until now. So I hope I will never experience it again,” said the Sešice hero.

After the hot-tempered Greek team, Slavia is looking for another opponent, which is Polish Raków Częstochowa. The Sešiovans are close to completing the first chapter of their European mission, which is clearly to qualify for the ECL group stage.

However, memories of their Polish opponents from last season are not very positive. Last year, the Slavs fell out in the Europa League preliminary round with Legia Warsaw. Czech football desperately needs Jindřich Trpišovský’s charges to manage the upcoming replay and advance further.

Slavia fans especially praised the performance of goalkeeper Mandous, who really supported his team with several saves.
