Lamela scored the goal of the year, Schick was close behind

The FIFA Awards also voted for the best goal of the year. Czech Patrik Schick was also nominated and appeared in the top three, but the winner was Erik Lamela, who scored against Arsenal.

FIFA hands out its awards on Monday evening. One of them is the Puskás Award, the prize for the best goal of the year.

There were a lot of beautiful goals in the nomination, but the Czech fan was particularly interested in the nomination of Patrik Schick.

He scored beautifully from almost half the field against Scotland at the Euro and thanks to that the Czech team advanced from the group stage.

Schick also made it to the top three, but was not the winner. He had to bow out to Argentina’s Erik Lamela.

The latter produced a beautiful rabona in the London derby to send Tottenham into the lead over Arsenal. However, the game still ended in defeat for Spurs.
