Kylian Mbappé took at least a little break from the tense atmosphere at the Paris club last week and took an active part in the national break. On Tuesday night, the French national team welcomed the South African national team in a friendly match at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
In a one-goal match, the Gallic national team won convincingly 5:0. The home team’s star Kylian Mbappé scored two goals and contributed one assist.
Especially the first goal of the match was really an exhibition and Mbappé showed his uniqueness right after twenty-three minutes. After a pass from Antoine Griezmann, the young star got to finish on the edge of the box and swept all the spiders in the visitors’ goal with a beautiful shot.
But the player from a sporting family, whose father Wilfried Mbappé was a player and football coach in Cameroon, was very angry after the match. The betting company Winamax, which is known for its disputes with high-profile athletes and football clubs, published a post that the French player did not like at all.
Winamax’s latest tweet, which features a picture showing a football fan celebrating a goal in the stands of the stadium with his pants pulled down, with the caption “Wilfried Mbappe during his son’s goal against South Africa”.
“The dangers of online gambling,” Mbappé responded to the company’s misplaced prank. “There are no limits, a little respect please,” the French star objected to the lack of respect from the French organisation, which deals mainly with online betting.
