Walker has been linked with leaving the club pretty much since the start of the summer transfer window. Bayern Munich in particular were among the big suitors. The English speedster finally decided to stay at the club and extend his contract until 2028.

Walker transferred to Manchester from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017. Despite the fact that he had not won a single trophy in his career until then, he could already enjoy fifteen successes in six years, including winning the Champions League.
