Kvitova will play for the title in Doha!

Tennis player Petra Kvitova will play for the title at the tournament in Doha. In the semi-final she defeatedJessica Pegula of the USA in two sets 6::4 and 6::4. Shewill face Spain’s Garbine Muguruza in the title match.

Kvitova last faced her Spanish opponent in 2018, when she won the title against her. Will the situation repeat itself? We will find out today. The match starts at 16:00.

After a successful quarter-final, Kvitova has advanced to the top four players. She dominated her semi-final match against the American Muguruza. The only problem came in the second set when Kvitova was down 2: 4.

But she turned the score around and won 6:4. Her opponent, whom she will face in the final, had an easier road. Due to Azarenka’s forfeit, she advanced to the final without having to win the semifinal match.

Azarenka of Belarus had her match controversially called off due to back problems.

The Czech tennis player, who is ranked 10th in the world rankings, will play for the 28th title of her career. Kvitova has faced Muguruza five times, with four wins and one loss.

The 27-year-old Spanish tennis player, who has the same number (2) of Grand Slam titles to her credit, will be playing for her eighth career title.
